Company, for the purpose of running and operating a Horse
Railway in the city of Baltimore.

Which was read and referred to the Committee heretofore
appointed on that subject.

Mr. Earle presented the petition of sundry Insurance
Companies for relief as therein prayed.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.
Also,

The petition of sundry citizens of Queen Anne's county,
against the passage of any law requiring fruit to be weighed.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Spencer presented the petition of numerous farmers
and others, of Kent county, urging the passage of a law to
secure, to the Horticulturist of Maryland, a suitable wharf
and market for the wholesale of their products.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of Ephriam Larrabee,
Thos. Y. Canby, F. F. Pope and Gerard H. Reese, Commit-
tee of the Society of Friends of Baltimore, praying the pas-
sage of an Act in relation to the sale or lease of certain prop-
erty in the city of Baltimore, belonging to said Society of
Friends.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Getty presented the petition of one hundred and sev-
enty-six registered voters of Garrett county, praying a vote
on the county seat.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of Robert W. Cluff and
fifty-seven other citizens of Somerset county, praying the
passage of a bill to protect Fish in the waters of the Poco-
moke-River.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Brattan, Aydelott
and Tuck.

Mr. Tuck presented the petition of Geo. P. Tiffany, Wm.
H. Warfield and others, taxpayers in Prince George's county,
praying that the Act now before the Senate in referrence to
the County Treasurer may be passed.
