CHAPTER 26.

AN ACT to prohibit the granting of license for the
|
 
|
sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager
|
 
|
beer, at or near the grounds of the Wesley Grove
|
 
|
Camp Meeting Association in Howard county.

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for the
|
 
|
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Howard county, to>
|
 
|
issue license to any person or persons to sell spirit-
|
 
|
uous or fermented liquors, or lager beer, at the
|
 
|
grounds of the Wesley Grove Camp Meeting Associ-
ation, or within one mile of the same, provided that
|
 
|
this act shall not effect any license which may have
|
 
|
been issued prior to the passage of this bill.
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take-
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|
 
|

CHAPTER 27.
|
 
|
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
|
 
|
Joseph Spurrier, late collector of State taxes in .
|
 
|
Carroll county, the amount overpaid by him into
|
 
|
the Treasury.
|
To re-pay Jos.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Spurrier
|
Maryland, That the Comptroller of this State be and
|
 
|
he is hereby authorized and directed, to issue his
|
 
|
warrant upon the Treasurer of this State to pay to
|
 
|
Joseph Spurrier of Carroll county, the sum of one
|
 
|
hundred and twenty-five dollars and forty-two cents,
|
 
|
being the amount overpaid by said Joseph Spurrier
|
 
|
into the Treasury as collector of State taxes, for the
|
 
|
ninth district of Carroll county, as certified to by the
|
 
|
Comptroller of this State.
