CHAPTER 17.

AN ACT to repeal sections three hundred and twenty-
|
 
|
three and three hundred and twenty-four, article
|
 
|
eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws of Fred-
|
 
|
erick county, and to re-enact the same with
|
 
|
amendments.
|
Repealed and
re-enacted
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That sections three hundred twenty-three,
|
 
|
and three hundred and twenty-four, of article eleven
|
 
|
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county,
|
 
|
be and the same are hereby repealed, and re-enacted
|
 
|
with amendments to read as follows :
|
Allowance for
killing auimals.
|
SEC. 323. Every person who is an actual resident
|
 
|
of Frederick county, shall be entitled to an allowance
|
 
|
from the county, of five dollars for every lynx, or
|
 
|
wild cat, three dollars for every fox, one dollar for
|
 
|
every mink, skunk or weasel, and firry cents for every
|
 
|
hawk or owl taken and killed by him within the limits
|
 
|
of Frederick county; provided, that for every lynx or
|

wild cat, fox, mink, skunk or weasel, hawk or
|
 
|
owl not full grown, only one half allowance shall be
|
 
|
made.

How claim is to
be made valid.
|
SEC. 324. The person killing any of the animals,
|
 
|
or birds of prey mentioned, and included in section
|
 
|
three hundred and twenty-three of this act, shall pro-
|
 
|
duce the head of the same, before some justice for
|
 
|
the said county, and make oath that the said animal
|
 
|
or bird of prey, was taken and killed within the limits
|
 
|
of Frederick county, within six days then preceding;
|
 
|
and the justice shall thereupon give such person or
|
 
|
persons a certificate wherein he shall set forth the
|
 
|
said oath, and shall at the same time cut off the ears
|
 
|
from the heads of the animals, and shall cut off the
|
 
|
beaks from the heads of the birds, so as to prevent
|
 
|
a second allowance.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|
 
|
