Proviso

of this act, shall be liable to a fine of fifty dollars for

each and every offence; provided, that the terms of

this act shall not apply to children engaged in agri-
cultural, household, or mercantile pursuits.

In force

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 4.

AN ACT to extend the Charter of Incorporation of

the Baltimore and Philadelphia Steamboat Com-

pany, which Incorporation is by virtue of the act

of December session eighteen hundred and forty-

three, chapter one hundred and fifty eight, and of

the supplementary act passed February seventh,

eighteen hundred and sixty-six, chapter eighty-

three.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Extending nets

Maryland, That the said acts are hereby extended so

that those acts, and this act shall continue in force

until the Legislature shall think proper to repeal the

same.

take effect from the day of its passage.
