The Secretary of the Senate returned

The bill entitled an Act to amend Article 10 of the Code
of Public General Laws of this State, relating to attach-
ments, by adding thereto an additional section relating to the
attachment of the wages or hire of non-residents of this
State.

Also,

The hill entitled an Act to establish the Maryland Home
of Correction,

Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the Court of
Appeals to release the case of Samuel Earth vs, Simon Roen-
field & Co., if in the judgment and opinion of the Court of
Appeals it would tend to do justice between the parties.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments :"

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the general valuation
and assessment of property in this State:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Wherever the words "County Commissioners" occur, and
relate to Baltimore county, add the words "Board of Con-
trol and Review of Baltimore county."

Page 7 written bill, line seven, after the word "quantity,"
insert the words "of feet or."

Page 1, line 25, strike out all after the word "taxation"
in line 17, to words "all cash," in line 20.

Page 2, section 2, at the end of section, add "except
the counties of Baltimore and Anne Arundel," which shall
be divided as follows:

Baltimore county shall be divided into seven assessment
districts, viz: The 1st and 13th election districts shall consti-
tute the first assessment district; the 2nd and 4th election
districts shall constitute the second assessment district; the 3rd
election district shall constitute the third assessment district;
the 5th, 6th and 7th election districts shall constitute the
