Mr. Stake, Chairman of the Committee on Inspections, to
whom was referred

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5, of chapter 36,
of the Act of 1872, entitled an Act to add a new section to
the Code of Public General Laws, regulating the inspection
of tobacco, and re-enact the same with amendments,

Reported favorably thereto, and paid bill was read a first
time.

The bill entitled an Act to fix the compensation of the
Sheriff of Garrett county for boarding prisoners and re-
moving convicts to the penitentiary,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 56, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Li-
censes," sub-title "Brokers," and to repeal the 17th section
of said Article, and to re-enact said 17th section with amend-
ments, requiring pawn-brokers to pay a State license,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend Article 10, of the Code
of Public General Laws of this State, relating to attachments,
by adding thereto an additional section, relating to the
attachment of the wages or hire of non-residents of this State,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of Findlay, Roberts & Co., William S. Tay-
lor & Co., Henderson's Wharf, J. K. Carroll, Klinefelter
& Bro., Bolton & Bro., Johnson & Co., John F. Wiley,
Charles Steuper, Brown & Murphy, William A. House,
Lewis F. Clabey, J. R. Hudgins, Thomas S. Clarke & Sons,
Anderson & Bro., and John Murphy & Co.,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading,

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of S. B. Jones, James Brown, B. O. Brown,
B. L. Barker, William Mencher, John F. Duke, T. F. Lyons,
George A. Fowler, John French, John Denton, E. Cecil,
John. E. Griffin, William Lemon, John Rierdoa, George
Gibson, R. E. Ireland, George Robinson, Thomas Tongue
and J. T. Ireland,
