The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 7, of Article 21, of
an Act entitled an Act to create State Banking Institutions,
and to enable the several banks of this State, (State and Na-
tional,) to avail of the provisions thereof, passed at January
session, 1870, chapter 206, and to impose a tax on the issue
of notes put in circulation by State Banks and Banking In-
stitutions.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate the Merchants' Mutual Insurance Com-
pany of Baltimore, and to extend the term of endurance of
the same.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
ou Corporations.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 20 of an
Act entitled an Act to incorporate Companies to make several
Turnpike Roads through Baltimore county, and for other pur-
poses, passed at December session, 1804, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore
county delegation.

Also,

The Joint Resolutions relating to the Eastern Shore Rail
Road Company.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Wicomico
and Somerset delegations.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 59, Article 30,
of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Gaming," and to
re-enact the game with amendments."

Said bill being on a second reading,

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, submitted the following
amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 3, section 59, strike out "five" and insert "one."
The question being on the adoption of the amendment,
It was adopted.
