Mr. Greenfield submitted the following message to the
Senate:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATE,

March 31st, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message asking a Committee of
Conference of two on the part of the Senate and three on the
part of the House, on the bill relating to Building Societies
and Land Companies, and respectfully concur therein; and
name on the part of the House, Messrs. Greenfield, Henkle
and Stewart.

The message was then sent to the Senate.

Mr. Nutwell, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Article 21, of section
7, of an Act entitled an Act to create State Banking Institu-
tions, and to enable the several banks of this State, (State
and National,) to avail of the provisions thereof, passed at
January session, 1870, chapter 206, and to impose a tax on
the issue of notes put in circulation by State Banks and
Banking Institutions.

Said bill was read a second time.

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the inspection of
spirituous, malt and fermented liquors,

Being on its second reading,

Mr. Lancaster moved to strike out the enacting clause.

The question being on sustaining the motion,

Mr. Loane demanded the yeas and nays.
