4th Article of the Constitution, and to substitute the follow-
ing in lieu thereof.

Which was read a second time.

Also, favorably, from the Committee on Ways aud Means,

The Senate hill entitled an Act to authorize the Commis-
sioner of the Land Office to have prepared, for the use of the
Land Office, a map of those portions of Garrett and Allegany
counties, which contains four thousand and fifty-odd acre
lots, granted by the State of Maryland to officers and soldiers
of the war of the Revolution, &c., &c.

Which was read a second time.

Also, favorably, from a Select Committee,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 16, of the
Act passed at December session, 1845, chapter 37, entitled an
Act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of Wash-
ington county, and amend and re-enact the said 16th section,
and to repeal the 10th seetion of the Act passed at January
session, 1870, chapter 439, entitled an Act to amend an Act
passed at December session, 1845, chapter 37, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of W ash ng
ton county, and the several Acts supplementary thereto, and
to amend and re-enact the said 10th section.

Which was read a second time.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills,

Severally endorsed, ''Passed by yeas and nays:"

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county to pay Codling
and Lishears, contractors for building the new almshouse in
said county, the sum of two thousand dollars, and to repeal
so much of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed January session, 1872, chapter 368, as may be incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act supplementary to an A.ct passed at
January session, 1870, chapter 168, entitled an additional
supplement to an Act to incorporate the Roman Catholic Con-
gregation in Baltimore Town, passed November session, 1795,
chapter 15, to enable said corporation to purchase a new
burial ground, &c.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of the Act of
January session, 1870, chapter 387, entitled an Act to incor-
