Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 113 and 114,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Dorchester
County," sub-title "Fish," and to re-enact the same with
amendment,
Being on its third reading,
Mr. Johnson submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In 14th line, section 1, strike out all after the word "vio-
late," and insert "the two preceding sections of this Act, in
either of the aforesaid counties, shall, upon conviction
thereof before a Justice of the Peace in the county where the
offence shall be committed, be fined not less than five nor
more than fifty dollars, or shall be subject to a forfeiture of
the same—the boat and appurtenances thereto belonging—in
the discretion of the said Justice; Provided, That an appea
to the Circuit Court may be taken at any time within ten
days from the rendering of such judgments under bond and
approved security."
The proposed amendment was adopted.
Also, the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
After the word "laws," in line 3, section 1, insert "of Dor-
chester county, section 86 and 8t, of Article 20, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Talbot county, and sections 90 and
91, Article 6, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Caroline
county be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and the fol-
lowing substituted for said sections of each of the aforesaid
counties, under sub-title "Fish.' "
The proposed amendment was adopted.
