enact the same with amendments.

Said bill being upon a second reading,
Mr. Hart submitted the following amend-nents:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Line 4, section 6, after word "district," insert "or may
not be a resident thereof or entitled to vote therein."

Line 11, section 6, after word "persons," insert "or of
persons who may not be residents of such ward or election
district or may not be entitled to vote therein."

Which were severally read and adopted.

Also,

The following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Line 7, section 7, after the word "voter," insert "in such
ward or election district."

Which was adopted.

Line 6, section 10, strike out "Wednesday" and insert
'''Monday;" in 6th and 7th lines, Mime section, .strike out
"fourth Monday" and insert "first."

Line 15, section 9, after the word "be," insert the word
"once."

After the word "published," same line, insert "in two news-
papers published in Baltimore City, one of which shall be in
the German language, and one in each county in English.

Mr. Keech submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

"But the Kegister shall not publish, or cause to be publish-
ed, in any newspaper, any list of registered voters except the
list of those transferred, dead, disqualified, removed, drop-
ped from the list, and of those whose names appear for the
first time on the list of qualified voters."
