Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the purchase,
construction and furnishing of suitable grounds and build-
ings for the State Normal School.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

The following message:

By THE SENATE,

March 26th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We received your message requesting the Senate to recede
from the amendments proposed to the bill entitled an Act to
repeal section 193, of Article 111, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Baltimore county, passed at January session, 1872,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and we respect-
fully adhere to the amendments proposed by the Senate, and
ask for the appointment of a Committee of Conference, and
came upon the parh of the Senate, Messrs. Davis and Ayde-
lotte.

Mr. Keech submitted the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

March 30th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message announcing your refusal
to recede from your amendments to House bill entitled an
Act to repeal section 193, of Article 111, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Baltimore county, passed at the January
session, 1872, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
and asking the appointment of a Committee of Conference
upon the same, and concur therein, and name on the part of
this House, Messrs. Keech, Merryman and Banks.
