1160 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 30,

Mr. Gill submitted the following amendment as a substi-
tute:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 9, line 15, insert "in the newspapers publishing
the General Laws."

The question then recurring on the adoption of the amend-
ment submitted by Mr. Gill,

Mr. Keech demanded the previous question.
The question then being,
"Shall the main question be now put?
The demand was sustained.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment submitted by Mr. Gill,

It was rejected.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment submitted by Mr. Keech,

The amendment was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment submitted by Mr. Hart, as amended,

Said amendment was then adopted.
Mr. Seth submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of section 5, add, "Provided, That the notices
aforesaid shall be published for each county, in one notice to
which the names of the Registers of all the districts of such
county shall be appended, and the notices for the City of Balti-
more shall be published in one notice to be signed by all the
Registers of said city."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Leonard submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 8, line 9, strike out "or bribery."
Which was adopted.

Mr. Hart submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Line 5, section 11, after the word "died," insert "or who
may not be residents of or entitled to vote in the wards or
election districts in which they are respectively registered,"

Which was adopted.
