Mr. Wier submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the bill to permit the voters of Allegany
county to vote on the question of granting license to sell
liquors in said county, be referred to a Select Committee.

Which was adopted.

The said bill was referred to Messrs. Wier. Wack and
Joyce, as a Select Committee.

Mr. Latchford submitted the following order :

Ordered, That a suitable railing be placed around the
graves of Wm. Price and Wm. Craig, deceased, late mem-
bers of the General Assembly, who are buried in St. Ann's
Cemetery in this city, and that a Committee of three be ap-
pointed for said purpose, the cost of said railing not to exceed
one hundred dollars.

Which,

On motion of Mr. Koons,
Was laid on the table.

The Speaker presented the Third Annual Report of the
Commissioners of Fisheries of the State of New Jersey.

Which was referred to the Select Committee to consider the
Act authorizing the appointment of Commissioners to Ex-
amine the" Fisheries of the State, chapter 297, 1870.

Mr. Koons submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims be instructed to
inquire and report to this House, within five days, the num-
ber of officers and attaches employed in and about the House,
what their position and duties are, when they were appoint-
ed, and whether it is possible to comply with the order pass-
ed by this House to limit their pay to commence on the date
of their appointment.

Which was adopted.

Also,

The following order:

Ordered, That the order passed by the House on the 18th
of March, instant, in the following words, to wit: "Ordered,
That the Sergeant-at-Arms of this House be allowed the
same pay as is allowed to the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate,"
be and the same is hereby re-cinded.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the order,
Mr. Koons demanded the yeas and nays.
