The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills,

Severally endorsed, "Reported unfavorably and the un-
favorable report adopted:"

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act
to repeal section 4, of Article 41, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Fish and Fisheries," sub-title "Head of
Bay," and to re-enact section 4, of Article 41, of the Code of
Public General Laws.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to compensate Josiah Stack and
William H. Burrows, of Talbot county, for services rendered
in making the arrest of Levin Palmer, an escaped prisoner
and desperado.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

The bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact sections 1,
4, 18 and 58, to 86 inclusive, of Article 56 of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Licenses," to repeal section
19 of said Article, and to add further sections to said Arti-
cle, regulating the sale of intoxicating liquors.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of Thomas C. Basshor & Co, for
work done and material furnished in the room of the Presi-
dent of the Senate.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Claims.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled
an Act to amend the charter of the Peabody Savings Bank
of Baltimore City, approved April 1st, 1872,

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland to the devise and be-
quest of Catherine Hoover, late of Frederick county, deceased,
