The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commis-
sioner of the Land Office to hare prepared for the use of the
Land Office, a map of those portions of Garrett and Allegany
counties, which contains four thousand and fifty odd acre
lots granted by the State of Maryland to officers and soldiers
of the war of the Revolution, &c., &c.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
Also,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 16 of the
Act passed at December session, 1845, chapter 37, entitled an
Act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of Wash-
ington county, and amend and re-enact the said 16th section,
and'to repeal the 10th section of the Act passed at January
session, 1870, chapter 439, entitled an Act to amend an Act
passed at December session, 1845, chapter 37, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of Washington
county, and the several Acts suplementary thereto, and to
amend and re-enact the said 10th section.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Washing-
ton county delegation.
Also,
The Senate bill entitted an Act to empower N. J. Horsey,
Vincent Moore and T. J. Turpin, of Wicomico county, to cut
a ditch or canal through the marsh from Quantico Creek to
Nanticoke River, in said county.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 160,161,
171, 172, 175 and 176, of Article 4, of the Maryland Code of
Public Local Laws, sub-title "Courts," and section 1, of
the Act passed February 4th, 1864, chapter 6, entitled an
Act to add certain additional sections relative to the Superior
Court of Baltimore City, and the Court of Common Pleas
in Baltimore City, to the 4th Article of the Public Local
Laws, regulating the return of process and the taking
of judgments in said Courts, and section 6 of the Act passed
March 22nd, 1867, chapter 401, entitled an Act to establish
