The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the better security of
creditors.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to an
Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Frostburg Water
Company, passed at January session, 1853, chapter
296, providing for an increase of the capital stock of said
Company, for the purpose of extending the water supply
to the town of Frostburg, and to issue coupon bonds and pro-
vide a sinking fund for the payment of the same.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 32, of Ar-
ticle 56, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Li-
censes," sub-title "Foreign Corporations and Companies,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland to the bequest and devise-
of Charles Spates, late of Montgomery county, deceased, to
the Trustees of the Baptist Church at Rockville, in Mont-
gomery county, Maryland.

on the Judiciary.
