1026 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 24,

On motion of Mr. Fenton, (the rules being suspended,)
The House proceeded to the consideration of

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed at Jan-
uary session, 1872, chapter 355, entitled an Act to authorize
the issuing of licenses to Telegraph Companies, and Express
or Transportation Companies, not organized under the laws
of this State, to transact business therein, and to re-enact the
same with amendments, and to add the same to Article 56,
of the Code of Public General Laws of this State.

Said bill being upon a third reading,
On motion of Mr. Fenton,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill made the order of the day for to-morrow, the 25th inst.

OFFICE OF THE

CHIEF CLERK OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 20th, 1874.

The following Act was this day presented to his Excel-
lency the Governor, for his approval:

No. 98. An Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay the
claims of Kelly, Piet & Company, and John Murphy &
Company.

At 3 o'clock, P. M., the House took a recess until 8 o'clock
