Speaker of the House of Delegates and President of the Sen-
ate of Maryland, and Chairman of the Committee of Ways
and Means.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Mr. Thompson presented the petition of twenty citizens of
Church Hill, Queen Anne's county, to amend the Act of In-
corporation of said town.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Lancaster presented the petition of forty citizens of
Charles county, asking a change in the manner of collecting
taxes in Charles county.

Which was read and referred to the Charles delegation and
Mr. Colton.

Mr. Keech presented the petition of Mary A. Pearce, of
Baltimore county, 9th district, to be placed on the pension
list.

Also,

The petition of Samuel Davis, of the 9th district of Bal-
timore county, to be placed on the pension roll.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Johnson presented the petition of Capt. Jno. P. Fen-
tress, Wm. H. Bailey and forty other citizens of Dorchester
county, praying for an Act granting bounty upon "Eats."

Mr. McColgan presented the petition of P. F. Kelley, for
compensation for damage to his boat by the Oyster Police
Force.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Stake submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Committee on Inspections have leave of
absence on to-morrow, (Wednesday,) for the purpose of visit-
ing the State Tobacco Warehouses.

Which was adopted.
