Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, to
whom had been granted leave to introduce a bill entitled an
Act to authorize the Comptroller to adjust and settle an ac-
count for certain fees due John A. Camalier, late Clerk of
the Circuit Court for St. Mary's county, reported thereon,
and asked that the Committee be discharged from the further
consideration thereof, and that said leave be referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.

The Committee was discharged, and the leave so referred.
Also,

The bill of Geo. M. Russum, State's Attorney for Caroline
county, for appearance fees, and asked that the Committee be
discharged from the further consideration thereof, and that
said bill be referred to the Committeee on the Judiciary.

The Committee was discharged, and bill so referred.
Also,

The leave to introduce a bill making appropriation to pay
Kelly, Piet & Co., Lewis Mayer and John M. Brewer.

The Committee was discharged and the leave referred to
the Committee on Ways and Means.

The bill entitled an Act to regulate the inspection and
measurement, and to license the Inspectors of Lumber in the
City of Baltimore,

Being upon a second reading,

The question recurring upon the amendment proposed by
the Committee on Inspections, on the 13th instant, viz:

"That nothing in this Act shall be made to apply to any
lumber counted or inspected in the town of Port Deposit, and
brought to the City of Baltimore,"

The proposed amendment was adopted.
Mr. Leonard submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 9, line 4, strike out the word "fifty," and insert
"twenty-five."

The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5 and 7, of Article
10, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Attach-
ments," and re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed fora
third reading.
