On motion of Mr. McCosker,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Boatmen's Transportation
Company.

On motion of Mr. Mackey,

Leave was granted to the Cecil delegation to introduce a
bill to give the sanction of the General Assembly of Mary-
land to a bequest contained in the last will and testament of
Alice M. Gittings, late of Cecil county, deceased, to the Ves-
try of St. James' Church, of Cecil county. Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Berry,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to introduce a bill to repeal sections 102 and 103, of Article
21, of Public Local Laws, title "Washington County,"sub-
title "Fish," and to re-enact the same with amendment?.

On motion of Mr. Hodson,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Hodson, Stake and Robey, to
introduce a bill for the relief of James M. Bramble, of Dor-
chester county.

On motion of Mr, Loane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to improve the sanitary con-
dition of Baltimore City, and to incorporate the Baltimore
City Abattoir Company.

On motion of Mr. Robinson,

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill to prevent stock running at large.

On motion of Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate a Produce Exchange and Wharf
Company in Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Robinson,

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill to provide for keeping in repair the roads and
highways in Anne Arundel county.

Mr. Brace submitted Joint Resolutions in regard to the
death of Charles Sumner.

Which were read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Federal Relations.
