Vanderford, C. W. Fontaine, Wm. H. Euby, Ephraim G.
Polk, George M. Upshur, Keech & Yellott, Baughman &
Brothers, Plummer & Usilton, John E. Brown, Jr., J. Cloud
Norris, A. S. Abell & Company, A. G. & M. W. Boyd, Bell
& Company, Wm. B. Green, William Henry Legs:, Joseph
H. Johnson, Charles Cole, A. J. Merrill, C. T. Abell & Com-
pany, Lemuel Malone, Frederick Raine, F. W. Baker, Wm,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Leonard submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 10, strike out the name of "Jno. W. F.
Cooper," and insert the name of "Wm. S. Parsons."

The proposed amendment was adopted,

And the bill, as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Brace, (the rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to authorize a reduction of the capital stock of
the New Central Coal Company.

Pending which,

On motion of Mr. Brace,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill recommitted to the Allegany delegation.

Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment of a sum
of money to J. Parran Crane, State's Attorney for St. Mary's
county, for professional services rendered the State.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to pay A. H. Seth, a Justice of the
Peace of the State of Maryland, in and for Talbot county,
the sum of two hundred dollars, as fees in certain cases.

Which was read a first time.
