adopted by the congregation thereof on the 5th day of May,
A. D., 1856, and on the 30th day of March, A. D., 1857,
and giving said amendments and all acts done in pursuance
thereof, the same force and validity as if said amendments
had been duly recorded within six months after the adop-
tion of the same.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal so much of the Act passed
at the January session, 1870, chapter 434, entitled an Act to
extend the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace, in and for
Dorchester, Kent, Caroline, Queen Anne's, Anne Arundel,
Prince George's, Harford, Charles and Worcester counties,
to cases of assault and battery, and to extend the right of
appeal so far only as the same relates to Kent county.

Endorsed, "Considered, and enacting clause stricken out."
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed "Passed by yeas and nays:"

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Hannis Distilling Company of Philadelphia and Baltimore
Cities.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to alter and amend chapter
193, of the Acts of 1872, regulating the measurement of
oysters in the ports of Crisfield and the City of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Thomas Clag-
gett, Charles Claggett, Woodbury Wheeler, attorney of
Wm. De Craux and Isaac Scaggs, certain monies erroneously
paid into the Treasury.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of Assem-
bly, 1858, chapter 13, passed February 10th, 1858, entitled
an Act amendatory of the Act of Assembly, passed at De-
cember session, 1834, chapter 87, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Trustees of the Education Fund of the Baltimore
