The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 5th section of
the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed Jan-
uary session, 1856, chapter 109, entitled an Act to amend
an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Fremont Savings
Institution of Baltimore, by allowing said Institution the
privilege embraced under the Act entitled an Act to continue
the corporate existence of the several Banking Institutions
therein mentioned, passed at January session, 1853, chapter
441.

on the Judiciary.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to increase the facilities of
the Grain Market of the State, by giving effect and negotia-
bility to Elevator Receipts,

to incorporate the Maryland Sunday School Union.

Which was read a first time und referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to add additions sections
to Article 5, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cal-
vert County," sub-title "Taxes," providing for the appoint-
ment of a Treasurer, and a more economical collection of
taxes in Calvert county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the sale or
lease to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, of a part
of a lot in Baltimore City, belonging to the State of Mary-
land, located at the intersection of Fremont and Chatsworth
streets, and known as the "State Hay Scales Lot,"

Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore
City delegation.
