On motion of Mr. Valliant,

Leave was granted to the Talbot delegation and Mr. Frea-
ner to introduce a bill entitled an Act to refund to Dr. C. C.
Cox sums of money erroneously paid as tax to Talbot county.

On motion of Mr. Duer,

Leave was granted to the Worcester delegation and Mr.
Duer to introduce a bill entitled an Act to prevent the catch-
ing and destroying of fish in the waters of the Pocomoke
River and Sound, below the village of Shelltown, in Somerset
county.

Oa motion of Mr. Hawking,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Hawkins, Lancaster, Golton
and Robey, to introduce a bill to repeal sections 41, 42 and
43, of Article 9, sub-title "Fences," of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Charles county.

Mr. Fletchall, from the Committee on Corporatioas, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize a reduction of the capi-
tal stock of the New Central Coal Company.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Colton, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to re-
fund to Rev. John B. De Wolf State taxes paid in error.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Valliant, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to refund to Dr. C. C. Cox sums of
money erroneously paid as county tax, or authorize the Com-
missioners of Talbot county to credit his cinnty tax with the
same.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Greenfield, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to purchase at its discretion the prop-
erty of the Western Maryland Rail Road Company, and to
issue the bonds of the City of Baltimore in order to provide
for the payment money for said purchase.
