Government, of certain lands in Prince George's county,con-
tiguous to Fort Washington. As the assent of the State is
necessary to the completion of the title in the United States
to these lands, I would respectfully recommend the passage
of the Act requested by the Hon. Secretary of War.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Federal Relations.

Mr. Matthews submitted the following order:

Ordered, That it he entered on the Journal that the ab-
sence of Mr. Keech this week from his seat, is on account of
sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Brown submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Sergeant-at-Arms of this House be
allowed the same pay that is allowed to the Sergeant-at-Arms
to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Gordy,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section
124, Article 10, of the Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester
County," sub-title "Constables."

On motion of Mr. McColgan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 110, of Ar-
ticle 16, of the Public General Laws, entitled "Chancery,"
sub-title "Practice."

On motion of Mr. Sudler,

Leave was granted to the Somerset delegation to introduce
a bill to enable the Commissioners of Somerset county to pro-
vide a fund for the redemption of outstanding county bonds.

On motion of Mr. Maclin,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill to restrict the sale of ardent spirits in the
4th election district in Howard county.

On motion of Mr. McColgan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to appoint a Commission to
revise and codify the laws of the State, relating to crimes
