Mr. Gill submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the words "turnpikes, roads, highways or ave-
nues," wherever they occur in the bill.

Mr. Feutou moved that the further consideration thereof
be postponed until to-morrow.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. McCosker submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add as an additional section, to be section 2:

And be it enacted, That if the proposed extension of the
city limits be rejected by the people, this Act shall be of no
effect.

between Joseph Owens and Eva Shepherd,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Sheriffs of the
several counties and the City of Baltimore to collect certain
fees due the late Clerk of the Circuit Court for St. Mary's
county, in the same manner as such officers fees have been
heretofore collected,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed at Jan-
uary session, 1870, chapter 328, entitled an Act to repeal the
29th section of the 5th Article of the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to the pay of the Crier of the Circuit Court
