re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Company,
in Carroll county, passed at January session, 1866, and as
amended by the Act of 1868, chapter 151, changing the
name of said corporation to that of the Baltimore, Carroll
and Liberty Turnpike Company of Carroll and Frederick
counties, and to repeal section 2 and 3 of the Act of 1870,
chapter 232, and to re-enact the said sections 2 and 3 with
amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the building offences in
Howard county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Hines, (Mr. Stake in the Chair,) Chairman of a Se-
lect Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to prevent the carrying of guns, pis-
tols, dirks, dirk-knives, razors, billies or bludgeons, by any
person in Kent or Queen Anne's counties, on the day of the
election in said counties.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Hines, (Mr. Seth in the Chair,) from a Select Com-
mittee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend and re-enact sections 1,
4, 18 and 58, to 86 inclusive, of Article 56, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Licenses," to repeal section
19 of said Article, and to add further sections to said Article,
regulating the sales of intoxicating liquors.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act for the protection of partridges and
to prevent trespassing with dog or gun on private property in
Kent county,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as fol-
lows:
