Statement showing the Amount of Revenue derived from
Licenses authorizing the Sale of Spirituous or Fermented
Liquors in this State during the fiscal year 1873:

From Traders' Liquor License........................$ 28,095 68

" Ordinary Licenses............................... 24,680 04

" Oyster-House Licenses.......................... 116,845 28

" Race and Fishing Licenses.................... 96 90

Total amount of Revenue for said year.........$169,717 90

The assessed value of property in this State, for the year
1873, was $424,672,712.00, upon which a tax of four cents
on each $100 would produce $169,869.08.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Mr. Maclin presented the petition of Eveline Dorsey, widow
of Amos Dorsey, a soldier of the war of 1812, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Fenton presented the petition of Jane Hill, for a pen-
sion.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Bird presented the petition of John Jones, J. T.
Quill, Wesley Ray and eighty-five other colored citizens of
Calvert county, praying for a change in the Bastard Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Leonard presented the petition of one hundred and
forty-one citizens of the 7th district of Wicomico county, ask-
ing a change of voting place.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Leonard, Beds-
worth and Sudler.

Mr. Merryman presented the petition of Pleasant Hunter,
F. O. Mitchell, M. D., Henry N. Merryman and forty-one
other persons, in favor of annexing Baltimore county and
city.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
the Extension of the Limits of Baltimore City.

Mr. Robinson presented the petition of Joseph P. Smith, a
soldier of the war of 1812, asking to be placed upon the pen-
sion rolls of the State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
