Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed December
session, 1864, chapter 68, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Trustees of Buckingham Academy and Female Seminary, of
Berlin.

Which was read a second time.
Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to the Act of
1870, chapter 213, making an additional appropriation to
Washington Cemetery, in Washington county.

Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Horti-
cultural Society.

Which was read a first time.
Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate Washington Grove
Camp-Meeting Association, of the District of Columbia and
Maryland.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on Federal Rela-
tions, to whom was referred,

The Seaate bill entitled an Act to provide for the relin-
quishment to the United States, in certain cases, of titles to,
and jurisdiction over, land for sites of light-houses, beacons
and other aids to navigation, and for the protection of beacons,
buoys and floating guides on the coast and in the waters of
the State,

Reported the same with proposed amendments.

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED,

Section 1, line 12, strike out the word "eighteenth," and
insert "seventeenth."

Section 4, line 11, strike out the word "purposed," and
insert the word "purposes."

The amendments, as proposed, were severally read and
adopted, and the bill, as amended, read a second time.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on Federal Rela-
tions, to whom was referred,

The Senate Joint Resolutions protesting against the pas-
sage of the Supplementary Civil Rights Bill, reported the
same, together with House Joint, Resolutions protesting
