A bill entitled an Act to authorize the United States to
procure the condemnation of lands within the State of Mary-
land, for certain public purposes, and ceding jurisdiction
thereof, when so condemned, to the United States.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Federal Eelations.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend and enlarge the powers
conferred upon the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Balti-
more and his successors, by the Acts passed at December ses-
sion, 1832, chapter 308, and by supplements thereto, passed
at January session, 1868, chapter 268.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Oarroll county to levy for such sum of money as
may be requisite to furnish the office of the Register of Wills
of said county with the necessary record-books, stationery

pay Andrew Hamilton, and J. Weatherby & Sons, for labor
done and material furnished the building used by the State
