cilmen of Frostbiirg to construct water-works for, and to lay
water-mains throughout said town, to buy the necessary ap-
pertenances for the protection of property, and to issue bonds,
for that purpose.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 27, of Article 10,
of the. Code of Public General Laws, respecting the sale of
attached property, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to chap-
ter 434 of the Acts of 1870, entitled an Act to extend the
jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace in and for Dorchester,
Kent, Caroline, Calvert, Carroll, Queen Anne's, Anne
Arundel, Prince George's, Harford, Charles and Worcester
counties, to cases of assault and battery.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 to 7, of Article
36, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Estrays and
Vessels Adrift," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay William Knabe & Company for one seven and one-third
octave concert grand piano, supplied the Executive Mansion,
on the 7th of February, 1870.

on Claims.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 67, of Article 51,
of the Code of Public General Laws, which was added by Act
of 1868, chapter 443, relating to the lien of and executions on
judgments of Justices of the Peace, and to re-enact the same
