within the limits of the City of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Loane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to add two additional sections to Article 58,
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Lunatics,"
to be numbered sections 12 and 13.

On motion of Mr. Watkins,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Washington Grove Camp-
Meeting Association of Maryland and District of Columbia.

On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Ventilation
to introduce a bill entitled aa Act to ventilate the House of
Delegates and Senate Chamber.

On motion of Mr. Etchison,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 59, Article 30, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments," sub-title "Gaming," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
to whom leave was granted to introduce a bill entitled an
Act to change the mode of appointing County School Com-
missioners, reported thereon, and,

On motion of Mr. Freaner,
Said leave was referred to the Committee on Education.

Mr. Freaner also reported unfavorably upon bill entitled
an Act to repeal section 13, of Article 51, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Justices of the Peace," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

The question recurring upon concurring in the report,

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, moved that the bill besubsti-
tuted for the unfavorable report of the Committee.

The question then recurring upon concurring in the mo-
tion,

Mr. Seth moved to lay the whole subject on the table.
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, demanded the yeas and
nays.
