The following Act of Assembly was this day presented to
his Excellency the Governor for his approval :

No. 67. An Act to incorporate the Baltimore Gazette Pub-
lishing Company.

On motion of Mr. Glotfelty,

Leave was granted to Messrs. West, Glotfelty and Brace,
to introduce a bill to abolish the toll-gate on the National
Road between Frostburg and Grantsville.

On motion of Mr. Colton,

Leave was granted to the St. Mary's delegation and Mr.
Hawkins, to introduce a bill to authorize the Sheriffs of the sev-
eral counties and City of Baltimore, to collect certain fees due
the late Clerk of the Circuit Court lor St. Mary's county, in
the same manner as such officers fees have been heretofore
collected.

On motion of Mr. Bird,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Solomon's Island Oyster
and Fruit Packing and Manufacturing Company, of Calvert
county, Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill amending the charter of the Baltimore, Car-
roll and Liberty Turnpike Road Company, in Carroll county,
in relation to tolls.

On motion of Mr. Riley,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to extend the jurisdiction of Justices of the
Peace for Harford county.

On motion of Mr. Fenton,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the Baltimore City
and Fredericktown Turnpike Company, so as to provide for
