an Act to assess and collect taxes on the property of the
several railroad corporations chartered by the State of Mary-
land, and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to
add the same to Article 81, of the Code of Public General
Laws of this State.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the 2nd section of the
Act passed at January session, 1870, chapter 362, entitled an
Act to assess and collect taxes on the property of the several
railroad corporations chartered by the State of Maryland,
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to add the
same to Article 81 of the Code of Public General Laws of
this State.

the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Fines and For-
feitures," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Gill, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional sub-title and
section to Article 4, of the Public Local Laws of the City of
Baltimore, to be known under the title "Costs," and as sec-
tion 159 1/2 of said Article.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Stake, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the Sur-
veyor of Washington county to survey all public roads
hereafter to be granted by the County Commissioners, to make
record thereof and to make a record of all the public roads
heretofore opened by the County Commissioners, or used as
public roads by the public.
