an Act to pay Elizabeth C. Dorsey, of Frederick county, a
pension therein named
On motion of Mr. Annan,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to
appoint an additional Justice of the Peace for the ninth elec-
tion district, and also an additional Justice of the Peace for
the fifteenth district in Frederick county.
On motion of Mr. Loane,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Loane, Fenton and Buch-
anan, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to exempt packers of
fruits and oysters, and other perishable articles, from the op-
erations of the Act passed this session of the General Assem-
bly, entitled an Act to limit the hours of labor in this State
for all minors under sixteen years of age.
On motion of Mr. Bird,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 5 and
6, of an Act passed at the January session, 1872, chapter 36,
entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public
General Laws, regulating the inspection of tobacco, and to
re-enact, the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Merritt,
Leave was granted to the Kent delegation and Mr. Seth,
to introduce a bill for the protection of partridges, and
and to prevent trespassing with, dog or gun in Kent county.
On motion of Mr. Bird,
Leave was granted to the Calvert delegation and Mr.
Bond, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal the
Act passed at January session, 1870, chapter 328, entitled
an Act to repeal the 29th section of the 5th Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to pay off the Crier of the
Circuit Court for Calvert county, and to enact a substitute
therefor, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Seth.
Leave was granted to the Talbot and Dorchester dele-
gations to introduce a bill to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Talbot and Dorchester counties to issue license
to the citizens of their respective counties to take and catch
oysters in the Choptank River with scoop or scrape.
On motion of Mr. Bond,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill for the relief of Biscoe Adams, one of the
