The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays :"

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the defence of
Officers of Registration and Judges of Elections who are or
may be indicted in the United States Court for acts done in
the performance of duties imposed by the Constitution and
Laws of this State, which acts are alleged to be in violation
of the Act of Congress, approved May the 31st, 1870, en-
titled "An Act to enforce the rights of citizens of the United
States to vote in the several States of this Union, and for
other purposes."

On motion of Mr. Fenton,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Fenton, Loane and Groh, to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Citizens' Gas Company, of
Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Lee,

Leave was granted to the Harford delegation to introduce
a bill to repeal section 31, of Article 12, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Harford County," sub-title "County Com-
missioners," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Buchanan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to protect minority stockholders in all incor-
porated companies in this State.

On motion of Mr. Sudler,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to change the mode of appointing County
School Commissioners.

On motion of Mr. Lee,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to add an additional section to Article 27, of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Costs," to be
numbered as section 11.

On motion of Mr. Matthews,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore, Towsontown,
Bel-Air and Delta Narrow Gauge Rail Road Company.

On moton of Mr. Lee,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Bel-Air Savings Bank, of
Harford county.

On motion of Mr. Koons,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intr o
