Mr. Merryman presented the petition of Margaret Frederick
Bareham, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Coulbourn presented the petition of Abraham Somers,
Travis Sterling, Nancy Toll, Rachel Ward, Martha Handy
and Easter Dougherty, soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
war of 1812, praying the General Assembly to grant them a
pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Keech presented the petition of Dennis Holland and
two hundred and six other citizens of the 13th district of Bal-
timore county, against a Jaw to prevent stock from running
at large within fifteen miles of Baltimore City.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county
delegation.

Mr. Matthews presented the petition of B. M. Andrews,
C. H. T. Lanahan and six hundred others, against Local
Option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Annan presented the petition of J. B. Kunkel, Geo.
W. Foremand and forty-four other citizens of Mechanicstown,
Frederick county, asking the passage of an Act creating an
additional Justice of the Peace for Frederick county.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.

Mr. Rob nson presented the petition of Robert H. Welch,
Frederick Rulman, A. W. Wells, L. G. Gassaway, D. C.
Thompson and numerous other citizens of the city of Annap-
olis, asking the passage of a law to provide for them an effi-
cient Police Force.

Which was read and referred to the Anne Arundel dele-
gation.

Mr. Miller presented the petition of John Reid and other
citizens of Knoxville, Frederick county, praying the passage
of an Act to prevent the running at large of swine in said
village.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick delega-
tion.
