TUESDAY, March 3rd, 1874.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Harper.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members :

Matthews, Merryman, Turner, of Bait, co., Seth, Valliant,
Sudler, Coulbourn, Duer, Gordy, Hodson, Turner, of Cecil,
Mackey, Davis, Etchison, Latchford, Thompson, Kemp,
Pruitt, Koons, Miller, Lamar, Nicodemus, Annan, Grafton,
Lee, Riley, Dawson, Williams, McOosker, T. H. Hamilton,
Cooper, C. E. Hamilton, McWilliams, Staylor, Stewart, of
Baltimore city, McAleese, Gill, Hart, Loane, Greenfield,
McColgan, Joyce, Fenton, Berry, Grimes, Stake, Clark,
Watkins, Fletchall, Wier, Wack, Park, Brace, Waters,
Vanderford, Galt, Brown, Maclin, Stewart, of Howard,
Bedsworth, Glotfelty—73.

Mr. McAleese presented the petition of C. R. Hogan and
five hundred other citizens of Baltimore City, against Local
Option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Hart presented the petition of five hundred citizens of
Baltimore, against Local Option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Stewart presented the petition of F. Ruman and five
hundred other citizens of Baltimore, against the so-called
Local Option Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Staylor presented a petition of five hundred citizens of
Baltimore City, against Local Option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Weir presented the petition of O. Hillegist and five
hundred other citizens of Baltimore, against the passage of
the Local Option hill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Sudler presented the petition of Frank Davis and
eighty other citizens of Somerset, against the passage of any
