The Speaker announced the following appointments on the
several Standing Committees named:

In addition to Mr. Thompson, on the Committee on Elec-
tions, as entered on Tuesday last.

Mr. Fenton, on the Committee on Ways and Means, in
place of Mr. Groome.

Mr. Fereaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Hawkins on the same Committee.

Mr. Davis on the Committee on Militia, in place of Mr.
Fenton, transferred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Davis on the Committee on Colored Population, in
place of Mr. Hawkins, transferred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

The Speaker laid before the House a communication from
J. Stricker Jenkins, Colonel commanding the 5th Regiment
M. N. G., inviting the members of the House of Delegates to
attend a Review of said Regiment, by His Excellency, Gov-
ernor James B. Groome, on Thursday next, the 5th day of
March, at Annapolis.
