On motion of Mr. Matthews,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
11 and 12, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January session of 1870, chapter 99,
entitled an Act to lay off streets in Baltimore county, &c.;
also, to repeal chapter 387, of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1872, entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 4 of an Act passed by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, at its January session of 1870, chapter 99, entitled an
Act to lay off streets in Baltimore county, &c.

On motion of Mr. Seth,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to compensate Thomas J. Warren and James
Harrison for services rendered in certain oyster cases.

On motion of Mr. Brace,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2 and 6, of
Article 53, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Landlord and Tenant," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to add a new section, to
Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," sub-title "Rivers," to come
after section 170, and to be called "170 a."

On motion of Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Henkle, Harig, Groh, Merry-
man and Stewart, of Howard, to introduce a bill to provide
free turnpike roads and bridges within the proposed extended
city limits of Baltimore City.

Mr. Loane submitted the following

JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Senators in Congress from this State be instructed, and the
Representatives requested, to use all proper means to secure
the removal of the United States Naval Asylum from
Philadelphia, Pa., to Annapolis, Md.

Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the Hous3, and the
Secretary of the Senate, be instructed to forward copies of
