said county.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee
on the Extension of the Limits of Baltimore City.

Mr. C. R. Hamilton presented the petition of Matilda B.
Sanders, asking for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Maria Mumma, asking for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Sarah Thursby, asking for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Julia A. Hedricks, asking for a pension.

Also,

The petition of Naomi Parks, asking for a pension.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee

on Pensions.

Mr. Coulbourn presented the petition of John T. Ward and
one hundred and forty-six other citizens of Lawson's District,
in Somerset county, praying for a Fence Law.

Which was read and referred to the Somerset delegation.

Mr. Lee presented the petition of James A. Scott and one
hundred other citizens of Harford county, praying the pas-
sage of a Fence Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

On motion of Mr. Loane,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill to add an additional section to Article 56,
Code of Public General Laws, title "Licenses."

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the City Banks.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to pay the costs in the case of the State of Mary-
land vs. Duncan McPherson.

On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend the Constitution
