Mr. Stewart, of Howard, presented the petition of sun-
dry citizens of Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Montgom-
ery and Howard counties, asking for a new county to be
formed out of a part of said counties, and to add a part of
Baltimore county to Howard.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Stewart, of How-
ard, Eobey, Robinson, Clark and Matthews.

Mr. Buchanan presented the petition of L. P. D. Newman,
John M. Vandergrift, Isaac Crowther, Wm. Brooks, Geo.
Simpson and seventy-seven others, against the extension of
the city limits of Baltimore City.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
the Extension of the Limits of Baltimore City.

Mr. Riley presented the petition of Joshua H. Scarff and
twenty-six other citizens of Harford county, in opposition to
fish-pots in the Susquehanna River, in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.

Mr. Merryman presented the petition of Chauncey Brooks,
John D. Hammond, H. Brucmell, Walter B. Brooks and
forty others, for a Stock Law in first, second and third elec-
tion districts of Baltimore county.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county del-
egation.

Also,

The petition of Evan Davis, Joseph Bosley, Benjamin P.
Matthews, Charles Brooks and thirty-six others, in favor of
annexing Baltimore county and city, in lieu of a portion of
said county.

Also,

The petition of Samuel W. Worthington, Dr. M, Merry-
man, Thomas Bond and twenty-eight others, in favor of an-
nexing Baltimore county and city.

Which were severally read and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on the Extension of the Limits of Baltimore City.

Also,

The petition of Edward H. Gelston and others, of Baltimore
county, for a Dog Law,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Also,

The petition of Thomas C. Bosley, Alfred J. Gent, Aquilla
Chilcoat, Zephamiah Poteet and fifty others, in favor of an-
