180 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 4,

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Davis,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to amend the charter of the Parkton and Man-
chester Bail Road Company."

On motion by Mr. Getty,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Getty, Aydelotte and Spen-
cer to report a bill whereby the mileage of members and offi-
cers of the General Assembly of Maryland from Garrett
county may be determined.

Mr. McCulloh, from a Select Committee, reported unfavor-
ably on

The House bill for the relief of William H. Moore, of
Allegany county.

And the report was adopted.
Also, reported favorably

A bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the city of
Cumberland, by repealing certain sections of Article I. of the
Code of Public Local Laws; also sub-sections of the Acts of
1864, chapter 21, and to re-enact the following in lieu there-
of."

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Tuck, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings, to
which had been recommitted

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Bank
of Cambridge, in Cambridge, Dorchester county, Maryland,"

Reported favorably thereon, and

Said bill was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported

A bill entitled "An Act to amend Article XLV. of the Code
of Public General Laws, relating to Husband and Wife, by
adding a new section thereto."

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Crawford, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

A bill entitled "An Act to prevent stock from running at
large in Quantico, Wicomico county."

Which was read the first time.
