On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 5
of Article XCIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, relat-
ing to testamentary law, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

On motion by Mr. Tuck,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill entitled "An Act for the relief of Solomon Phillips,
and authorizing the Commissioners of Anne Arundel county
to correct errors in the assessment of certain property therein
mentioned."

On motion by Mr. Blake,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to re-codify, revise and concentrate in
two volumes all laws and Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, and which will be in force at the time of the ad-
journment of the present Session of General Assembly of
Maryland ; to be known as the Code of Laws for the State of
Maryland."

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported favor-
ably

A bill entitled "An Act to refund to Daniel F. Stouffer, of
Washington county, the sum of forty dollars paid by him
into the Treasury, on or about the 13th day of June, 1871."

Washington county, the sum of forty dollars paid by him into
