Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

A Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 233 of the
Acts of 1870, enti'led an Act to repeal section 9, of Article
28, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the pub-
lication of county expenses, so far as the same relates to Caro-
line county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Dawson,
Williams and Thompson.

Also,

A Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to the Act
of 1870, chapter 213, making an additional appropriation to
Washington Cemetery, in Washington county,

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means.

Also,

A Senate bill entitled an Act to empower the Frederick
and Pennsylvania Line Rail Road Company to lease its road.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Frederick
delegation.

Also, returned,

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Wicomico county to borrow money on the credit of
the county, for the purpose of purchasing a site on which to
erect a court-house and jail, to issue bonds for the payment
of the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable property of
the county to redeem said bonds, and to pay the interest
thereon,

Endorsed "Reported unfavorably from a Select Commit-
tee, and the report adopted."

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage :

BY THE SENATE,

February 26th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

The Senate has non-concurred in the House amendments to
the Senate bill entitled "An Act to legalize the organization
of the Parkton and Manchester Rail Road Company," and re-
spectfully ask a Committee of Conference on the disagreeing
vote of the two Houses.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Davis
and Billingsley.
