Mr. Brace moved that the rules be suspended, and that the
House proceed to the consideration of the Senate bill entitled
an Act to amend the charter of the city of Cumberland.

Decided in the negative.

On motion of Mr. C. R. Hamilton, (the rules being sus-
pended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal sections 1, 3 and 5, of chapter 402, of
the Acts of 1867, entitled an Act to enlarge and confirm the
powers and authority of St. Mary's Industrial School for
Boys, of the City of Baltimore, and re-enact the same with
amendments, and to add an additional section thereto.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

The bill was then read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
