Mr. Denson presented the petition of Sarah Thursby, widow
of William Thursby, a soldier of the war of 1812, asking a
pension.

Which was read and referred to the Commitee on Pensions.
Also,

The petition of Catharine Crooks, widow of Wm. Crooks,
a soldier of the war of 1812, asking a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Spencer presented the petition of George A. Hanson.
Dr. W. M. Meeteer, Louis K. Stum, and other citizens of
Kent county, Maryland, praying the passage of a law against
the sale of adulterated liquors.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Steiner presented the petition from the Fourth Quar-
terly Conference, of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Fred-
erick city, station 1, praying the General Assembly to make
such alterations in the charter of the said Church, as will
make it accord with the discipline of the Methodist Episcopal
Church ; and also to increase its Trustees to the number of
nine.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

Mr. Tuck presented the petition of Margaret Cleffore,
widow of Sylvester Cleffore, a soldier in the war of 1812,
asking a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.
Also,

The petition of Mary Smith, widow of Daniel Smith, a sol-
dier in the war of 1812, asking a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Also,

The petition of Julia A. Weaver, widow of John Weaver,
a soldier in the war of 1812, asking a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Denson presented the petition of Elizabeth Beacham,
widow of Abraham Beacham, a soldier of the war of 1812,
asking a pension.
