Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Etchison presented the petition of William B. Bayne
and one hundred and twenty other citizens, asking for a new
election district in Prince George's county.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's del-
egation.

Mr. Pruitt presented the petition of sixty males, and forty
females, of Worcester County, praying for Local Option.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Loane presented the petition of over six hundred mer-
chants of the City of Baltimore, against the passage of the
proposed "Traders' License Law."

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Merritt presented the petition of Joseph P. Ireland
and one hundred and fifty other citizens of Kent county,
against a law licensing sample traders.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Robey presented the petition of Richard H. Beall and
forty other citizens of Prince George's county, praying the
removal of gates on the public roads.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.

Mr. Harris presented the memorial of the Board of Trade,
against the passage of the Sample Traders' License Bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Davis presented the petition of J. M. McClenahan and
eighty-one other citizens of Cecil county, in favor of a change
in the license for the sale of liquor.

Also,

The petition of Thomas Daugherty and forty-one other cit-
izens of Cecil county, in favor of a change in the laws for the
sale of liquor.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Mr. Loane presented the petition of the Hide and Leather
Trade and Tanners, and Tobacco Trade of Baltimore city,
against the proposed Traders' License Law.
