Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county dele-
gation.

Mr. Nicodemus presented the petition of Daniel T. Order-
man, T. C. Delaplain, Lewis E. Harding, A. B. Millard and
one hundred other citizens, asking for further protection to
birds in Frederick county.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.

Mr. Annan presented the petition of Joshua Motter and
other citizens, praying the passage of an Act extending the
time for the completion of the Emmittsburg Rail Road.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Eobey presented the petition of B. F. Duvall and one
hundred and sixty-six other citizens of Prince George's county,
asking for the removal of the gates on the public roads.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's
delegation.

Mr. Koons presented the petition of John D. Main, of Fred-
erick county, -for refunding certain taxes paid in error.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Lee presented the petition of Caleb J. Moore and one
hundred and ten other citizens of Harford county, praying
for the passage of a Local Option and Damage Law.

Which was read and referred the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Matthews presented the petition of A. L. Crosby and
other citizens of the 1st, 2d and 3d districts of Baltimore
county, asking the passage of a Stock Law.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county del-
egation.

Mr. Kemp presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Queen Anne's county, for the protection of oysters in said
county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Fletchall presented the petition of E. B. Prettyman, of
Montgomery county, praying the General Assembly of Mary-
land for compensation for services rendered the State.
